Hermle in the specialist press.
Most successful Open house ever for Hermle AG
Hermle AG welcomed over 2500 visitors from more than 1000 companies to its 2013 traditional Open house. Customers and interested persons filed through the Technology and Training Centre, which was equipped with more than 30 machines for the four days of exhibits.
One encouraging trend was the high number of international guests from over 50 countries, arriving from locations in the USA, Brazil, Korea, China, Russia, Israel and several other Asian countries. Of course there were also guests from almost all EU countries with large travel groups on site
New products on exhibit drew great interest, for example the new top performer, the C 32 5-axis machining centre for all industrial applications demanding maximum precision, and the PW 3000 pallet changer, which was presented in Hermle internal machining manufacturing under production conditions. Interesting machining projects from wide-ranging industries were presented on all the machines on exhibit to illustrate the versatility and highly diverse range of applications of Hermle machining centres.
Almost all the visitors took advantage of the guided tours of the plant that were available to get a first-hand view of the manufacturing and assembly process of Hermle machining centres. Visitors were also able to see the Service Hotline, Training Department and the Shipping and Logistics Centre.
In a special "Clamping Technology" exhibit, more than 30 well known exhibitors offered presentations covering many aspects of clamping technology. CAD/CAM and software were represented by over 15 companies. Other exhibitors included the two control unit manufacturers Heidenhain and Siemens. Altogether 60 exhibitors throughout the Technology and Training Centre presented a varied sampling of Hermle products to visitors.
The Hermle Training Department for application technology was on hand to answer questions concerning programming, time studies and feasibility analysis.
Training was also prominently featured in the Open house. For example, the Heidenhain training software HIT (Heidenhain Interactive Training) was presented. The new
eLearning module helps beginners and new users get started programming Heidenhain control units with programming for up to 5 axes. Apprenticeships and concepts of the two companies were presented directly by apprentices of both companies.
In a separate hall visitors saw the full range of competent customer service offered by Hermle. We demonstrated in animations and spirited discussions how modern means of communication support customer service, making it possible to complete service calls even faster and more selectively.
We are proud the event was so thoroughly successful and are already looking forward to 2014 when Hermle will again open its gates for another Open house.
